
Below is the Election Calendar for the May 10, 2008 Town Elections. Three Town Council positions (for places 1,4 and 5) will be decided on this date. The incumbents are Charles Grimes, Nita Watkins and Jerry Williams.
The candidates receiving the highest number of votes in each place will serve a two year term. Packets and applications for candidates are available at the Community Center during regular business hours from 2 to 5 p.m. each Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Voter Registration Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, April 10 in order to be in effect for the May 10 election. Voter Registration Applications may be picked up at a number of convenient locations, including the Lake Cities Library and the Shady Shores Community Center (during its regular business hours, 2-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday). The form may also be obtained online at http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/reqvr.shtml. If you have moved within Denton County since you last voted, you may make corrections on the back of your voter registration certificate and mail it to the Voter Registrar at P.O. Box 1720, Denton, Texas 76202. If you have moved from another county, a new Application is required. |
