Below is the Election Calendar for the May 9, 2009 Town Elections. Two Town Council positions and the Mayoral position will be decided on this date. The Council incumbents are Polly Carter and Sherry Starr; the Mayoral incumbent is Mayor Olive Stephens.
Those elected will serve a two year term. Packets and applications for candidates are available at the Community Center during regular business hours from 2 to 5 p.m. each Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Voter Registration Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, April 13 in order to be in effect for the May 13 election. Voter Registration Applications may be picked up at a number of convenient locations, including the Lake Cities Library and the Shady Shores Community Center (during its regular business hours, 2-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday). The form may also be obtained online at http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/reqvr.shtml. If you have moved within Denton County since you last voted, you may make corrections on the back of your voter registration certificate and mail it to the Voter Registrar at P.O. Box 1720, Denton, Texas 76202. If you have moved from another county, a new Application is required. |
