The Town of Shady Shores is governed by a council of 5 aldermen and a mayor.  The town’s office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 2-5 pm at the Shady Shores Community Center, located at 101 South Shady Shores Road.  Burn permits are issued on Fridays.  The office number is 940-498-0044. Municipal Court is held the first Wednesday of each month. The Municipal Court business hours are 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday.  The phone number for the Municipal Court is 940-498-0048.

The Town Council meets on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m.  The Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the second Thursday evening of each month at 7 p.m.  Both meetings are held at the Community Center.  All residents are welcome to attend.
